Why Prevention Education Matters
Ending sexual and gender-based violence starts with education. By challenging harmful attitudes and building skills for respect, consent, and equity, we can prevent violence before it happens. At SASC, our prevention initiatives include:
- Youth Education: Delivering workshops on consent, healthy relationships, bystander intervention, and human trafficking prevention.
- Community Workshops: Offering public education sessions on sexual violence prevention, healthy relationships, and responding to disclosures.
- Male Allyship Program: Engaging men and boys in conversations about healthy masculinity, consent, and leadership to prevent violence.
- Leading by Example Sports Program: Partnering with local youth and adult sports teams to build cultures of respect, leadership, and gender equity in athletics.
- Workplace Training: Educating organizations to prevent sexual harassment, promote safety, and build cultures of respect and accountability.
